In 2020, during the COVID pandemic, Lorraine joined SDI as the VP of Human Resources focused on navigating this new landscape for employee relations. Underscoring SDI’s commitment to culture, one of Lorraine’s first goals was to improve employee engagement, a critical effort as many employees worked remotely. Those ventures encompassed upgraded benefits, the Best-in-Class program, the Preciate Peer Recognition platform, Care Packages, and various incentives like scratch-off cards.

Lorraine is devoted to developing talent at all levels and early on unveiled a standard orientation program.  She then created the SDI Academy of Learning & Development, built a robust SharePoint site with information and resources for employees, and extended LearningZen to all employees. Employees currently have access to career paths and to more than 120 classes on a variety of topics.  Enriching these offerings are specialty programs such as the SMRT Program, The Coaching Clinic & IDP Workshops, and the Train-the-Trainer Program.

Lorraine is supported by a talented SDI Human Resources Team, who was recently honored as the Delaware Valley 2022 HR Department of the Year.  The HR Team is dedicated to championing diversity and inclusion.
