SDI’s storeroom management solutions focus on optimizing MRO inventory management, enhancing customer service and ensuring long-term savings through continuous improvement. Our goal is to ensure compliance with MRO policies and procedures and to provide timely reporting about usage patterns by products, individuals and departments.

We work with our clients to determine the optimal storeroom management solution based on factors discovered during our proprietary site assessment. These factors include production and maintenance schedules, number of SKUs to be managed, number of storerooms, activity per shift and the overall projected scope of work.

Our unique storeroom solutions can include management of existing client personnel or the deployment of our personnel to operate the storeroom. Where appropriate, we will provide on-site, experienced professionals to physically manage the transactional side of inventory management (issuing, receiving, parts put away, cycle counting and reconciliation and returns) while processing purchases through the e-Procurement program.  With proper executive support and Standard Operating Procedures both programs can be managed to the same standard of metrics and performance.  
In either circumstance, the storeroom staff will focus on transactional inventory management (issuing, receiving, cycle counting and reconciliation), customer service and continuous improvement. Our storeroom operations technology is based on your current inventory and work order management and systems. For those clients not managed by an internal management system, SDI employs our proprietary system, InSite Online.
In every situation, SDI develops a client “playbook’ that defines the operations with process mapping and links to customized SOPs and a documented strategy to achieve program goals and objectives.
